PDC 2007 - A "Jugaaaarrrrrr"
Again there was a PDC conference in Pakistan consecutively for the 5th time and it was pronounced to have broken barriers as commended by Country Manager Microsoft Pakistan in the Endnote.The reason told for this was it has for the first time in 5 yrs of history that it was held at 2 more cities other than Karachi that are Islamabad and Lahore but the people who had already been to PDC earlier ( me too ) on might have noticed that reason is not its occurence at two more cities but rather degraded level of management and quality of performance that it has broken barriers and for which Karachites has to have a bitter experience.

The day 1 started with the Keynote and in the same go we had with us Rafal Lukaweicki who has been coming to Pakistan more than couple of times during this conference.He is really a guru - someone who has something extra to offer everytime and who has insight into security deeper than anybody perhaps on the panel has about security lapses.But guess what,we had to watch his blurred broadcast from Islamabad with even the sound of him not hearable in the backrows.Most of the people alongwith us were literally dozing off as the party dragged on and on.
The day 2 was rather a better experience because we are now squared off with the unlimited potential of Microsoft Pakistan or perhaps the energetic stunts of Stephen Forte.Really,he was the man who kept us awake all the time.Even when I was not interested in his speech,i was not yawning at least.The 2nd day was in this way went good.

I attended PDC 2005 as well in the year indicated with the PDC of course.It was a marvellous experience.There were large number of speakers who had more experience than we had with those in this PDC except few who are the same as were in last i attended.As far as my memory serves,PDC 2005 has less number of speakers from Pakistan and more from outside the border but thats not to label Pakistanis are not great speakers.In PDC 2005 there were great memories of great people and experience with those who have left Karachi.I had with me reasonable number of volunteers from our university.We had with us teacher from our university - Mr.Saqib Ilyas.Perhaps ,I was kind of nostalgic person at this PDC thinking about all the things of PDC 2005 while in PDC 2007 and it lasted 3 days unlike this one which lasted just 2 days only.I had with me all of my senior batch mates who are now either gone abroad or are working somewhere but i was able to find none of them here.All in all PDC 2005 was real great experience in any terms you talk,at least for me.
